Tips to aid detoxification

I highly recommend you follow these tips both on the detox diet and off it, as a regular lifestyle activity:

  • Brush your skin at the end of a shower followed by a few seconds of cold water, to stimulate your lymphatic system and circulation, which will help the detoxification.
  • Visit a sauna or steam room a minimum of 2–3 times a week while detoxifying and once a week otherwise. Each time you visit a facility with a hot room, stay in the room for three 15-minute sessions. Have a cold shower or a swim in-between each session.
  • Undertake moderate exercise. As your kilojoule intake is restricted, you will feel extremely tired if you try to run your usual marathon!
